How we started
5 Years of Community.
From the sermon to the espresso, every Sunday at Common Grounds is shaped by the same conviction: that a real church can happen in a real coffee shop, with real people.
2020
Planted in Williamsburg. A handful of friends, two espresso machines, one rented storefront on Bedford Avenue.
2021
First 50 members. Word travels fast in a small neighborhood. Coffee bar open six days a week, services on Sunday.
2022
Expanded coffee bar opens. A second espresso station and slow-bar pour-over so the line moves and the conversation lingers.
2023
Deacon team commissioned. Six members called and ordained to lead the work of mercy in our neighborhood.
2024
Trinity Hall renovation. Reclaimed wood floors, new bar, and an event room that doubles as Wednesday-night Bible study HQ.
